Synopsis
As a young boy in a nearby workshop endures daily humiliation and abuse.
Inside their home, their daughter Mariam is being prepared to marry a man she does not love.
As Mariam begins to see that the violence outside mirrors the fear and silence within, she faces the same paralysis that grips everyone around her — a blend of fear, daily indifference, and the small justifications people use to excuse their silence.
“The Window” reflects on how normalized cruelty toward children and women echoes the larger cycles of oppression across societies that hide brutality behind tradition and necessity — while wars rage outside as a louder version of the same violence.
It is the story of a woman struggling to break through a wall of silence in a world that often chooses survival over justice.
