Synopsis
RAJANIGANDHA which means TUBEROSE FLOWER in english is the title of this short film. This flower is used in different occasions by Indians, like in bengali funeral, sad functions, also in happy moments like marriage ,romance, used as fragrance and also in indian red light areas. Here Director tries to depict the putrid smell of a bengali Sex worker’s life.
RAJANI the central character of the Film is a top ranked sex worker of kolkata red light area named Sonagachi. She has been forced to come in this brothel ,20 years ago ,by her husband named RATAN, who actually works as a pimp in the red light area.
