Synopsis
Displaced by the assaults of the occupying Israel, Hamed Ashour encounters a dog that has lost its way while migrating. He adopts it and names it Garib. He shares a photo of himself with the dog on his social media account. Upon seeing this, animal rights organizations based in Europe launch a fundraising campaign for the dog, demanding the “urgent evacuation of the dog from Gaza!” Meanwhile, they do not ask Hamed, who shares the same tent and fate as his dog, “how he is doing.” The documentary begins with Hamed Ashour recounting this bizarre incident in his own voice. Not wanting to show his face like Hanzala, Hamed asks, “You saw a photo of a small, sick dog, and the hearts of the whole world trembled. But what about us humans?”
