Synopsis
In the quiet hinterland town of Pomona, eight-year-old Kellie Handly navigates her world alongside her imaginary friend, Bingo Man. But as the town reels from the disappearance of two young girls—one of them Kellie’s classmate—her mother, Donna, grows increasingly anxious. Before leaving on a trip, she entrusts Kellie to her aunt, Alice, who reassures her of the girl’s safety.
At school, Principal Gwen Alberts takes responsibility for Kellie, but a fleeting distraction leads to Kellie wandering off. Guided by Bingo Man, Kellie befriends a younger girl, Cindy, and convinces her to explore the abandoned Mill. As night falls, unease sets in.
On her way home, Kellie is suddenly pursued by a shadowy figure in the bush. Desperate, she calls out to Bingo Man, but her cries go unanswered. In a harrowing climax, she is seized. The town descends into panic as the news spreads that another child is missing. The tight-knit community rises together to try and bring the girls home. As police comb the area, significant evidence emerges at the Mill, deepening the mystery.
Through it all, the eerie connection between Kellie and Bingo Man remains central, an unsettling force at the heart of this chilling tale.
