Synopsis
When their mother is deported from Denmark, 23-year-old Malik – an aspiring freestyler who’s always avoided responsibility – is suddenly forced to take the lead at home. Overnight, he becomes the parental figure for his three younger siblings: Responsible Zara (17), strong-willed Naledi (12), and hyperactive little Kamu (5).
With ‘Kommune Connie’ on their backs and the threat of Naledi and Kamu being placed in foster care, Malik has no choice but to step up. He made one promise: the family won’t be torn apart. But if they want their mother back, they first have to figure out how to stick together – for real.
