Synopsis
Set in the quaint town of Pennington Gap, Virginia, in 1977, Sisterhood follows the Charitable Sisterhood of the Second Trinity Victory Church, a devoted group of Christian women driven by their faith to serve their community. As an unforgiving storm rages outside, the women gather in the church basement to sort through donations for a relief effort aiding flood victims in Guatemala. Their work is more than just charity; it’s a heartfelt expression of Christ’s love in action. Throughout the evening, their conversations, prayers, and reflections on scripture highlight their deep commitment to living out the Gospel, even in the face of personal and spiritual challenges. Sisterhood is a powerful testament to the strength of faith, community, and the enduring impact of Christian compassion.
