边塞诗人

Synopsis
In a dreary industrial city bathed in deceptive sunlight, Wang Er, a young man with poetic aspirations, endures his monotonous days in a dilapidated workers’ bathhouse. While his mother wishes for nothing more than his steady engagement in study or work, Wang Er harbors a deep yearning for literature and a restless discontent with his mundane existence. Amid the steam and soap of the bathhouse, he encounters an editor who could alter his destiny, alongside a rough assembly of workers and patrons. Struggling within this small world of steam and suds, Wang Er seeks to carve out his voice and find his place. “Borderland Poet” is a tale of dreams, reality, and personal growth, portraying how an ordinary young man seeks to find himself and a sliver of hope at the margins of life.
