Synopsis
King Vanlande is tormented by a recurring dream of Huld, a mysterious woman who reminds him of a broken promise he made to Driva, the daughter of the king of Lapland many years in the past. With only one day to decide between returning to Driva or continuing his conquest, Vanlande dismisses all warnings and follows his council’s advice by choosing his ambition above all. As the night unfolds, he is forced to confront the consequences of his decision, while Driva, in Lapland, faces the emotional fallout of their past and the curse that now shadows their lives.
