Synopsis
Director Angela Duverger-Bobin did not know her grandfather Angel. She’s always been told he was incapable, mutilated by (Spanish) war, embittered, and alcoholic. In the house, we never talk about the remarkable things he accomplished, especially his mission among the Basque Intelligence Service, the “Tenebrosos”, who were fighting from exile against Francoism.
During small conversations with her relatives, with a tiny camera, Angela tries to understand the reasons for this silence. With an underlying question: what stories do we make up, what things do we imagine when history is only passed on by unspoken words?
