Synopsis
In “Adhura Khvab” (An Incomplete Dream)** is a poignant Hindi feature film that follows the journey of a struggling Indian couple desperate to have a child. Unable to conceive naturally, they turn to an IVF center, only to be confronted with the staggering cost of the procedure—approximately 15 lakh rupees. Determined to fulfill their dream of parenthood, the husband takes on the burden of arranging the money, borrowing from a local landlord.
However, when the IVF treatment fails, their hopes are shattered, and they find themselves trapped in a financial crisis. Unable to repay the loan, the family spirals into deeper trouble, facing mounting pressure and the harsh realities of debt. The film explores the emotional and financial toll of infertility, the sacrifices parents are willing to make, and the societal pressures that come with the desire for a child. “Adhura Khwab” paints a raw and realistic picture of a family’s struggle to navigate the complex intersection of dreams, money, and social expectations.
