Synopsis
To rescue the unique Xuzhou-style Dingdingqiang, Master Ding, an intangible cultural heritage inheritor, attempted various methods, all
to little avail. After being deceived by an MCN team into portraying himself as a “trendy old man” and engaging in a “bizarre” live stream,
he angrily quit the performance.
Ironically, it was this very live stream that brought together Zhao, the team leader from a power supply company who had always been interested in intangible cultural heritage, Xiao Xu, a music teacher, and numerous netizens.
Zhao seized the opportunity of inspecting the electrical circuits and equipment to persuade Master Ding to introduce Dingdingqiang into school classrooms. Ultimately, when Master Ding donned traditional costume and performed in the “State Grid Public Welfare Classroom,” the children’s bright and clear singing brought tears to his eyes.
