Synopsis
HUNGER is the first installment in a planned, experimental short film series about trans identity and concepts of living outside of big cities.
In a small town the nonbinary main character Nina seems to be on the run from somebody and has taken refuge in a nail salon.
In flashbacks they fight their way out of the trauma of domestic violence, attempts at domestication and imposed female performance in their past.
Hunger drives Nina to search for help and a place where they belong. A journey from a nail salon to a police station into a mysterious allotment garden were Nina finally finds a sence of home.
