Synopsis
CANVIS is a story about four women who left their homes and countries in the 1960s and early 70’s to live, up to this day on the islands of Mallorca, Ibiza, and the city of Barcelona. This was the era and beginning of the touristic boom and mass
tourism. We talk to them about the changes they underwent when leaving their homes and families, the changes they encountered living in a different culture, and learning a new language.
We also talk to them about how they have seen the islands and parts of the Mediterranean change, in many cases suffering the consequences of the touristic model of mass tourism.
