A Boy Among Champions

Synopsis
Tenth Street is at war with the gangs. Marco Torres, a handsome young man with a talent for boxing and a rising star of the barrio, trains in a makeshift gym set in his Uncle’s backyard. He is at odds with an older brother who controls another ‘family’, fueled with fast money and drugs. Marco, on the verge of qualifying for the Jr. Olympic team, gets pulled into a heist while innocently driving his brother one night and is sent away for eight years, his career destroyed. Against all odds, he returns, fights off depression and defeat, and helps struggling parents and friends set up a boxing club for at-risk youth. His girlfriend encourages him to reach out to one at-risk boy in particular. With determination, and finding himself along the way, Marco develops a national champion.
